WHERE: Doylestown
DETAILS: Look no further than Doylestown for a week filled with Pride-themed events. The festivities kick off on Sunday with a drag brunch, a children’s concert and a film screening of “Gay Chorus Deep South.”

EVENT: Pride Celebration at Please Touch Museum
DATE/TIME: Friday; timed sessions from 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m

DETAILS: Join the museum for an interactive storytime hosted by Philadelphia’s own drag queen Brittany Lynn. Kids will also learn about the science behind rainbows and will be encouraged to create their own.

DETAILS: Choose your start time, location and course for this Philly Pride 5K. Just be sure to register and run between June 13 and 20 to qualify for a variety of prizes.

FESTIVALS & MUSIC
EVENT: Hand to Hand: A FringeArts Circus Festival
DATE: Through June 13
WHERE: FringeArts, 140 N. Columbus Blvd., Old City
DETAILS: Catch the tail end of the circus festival happening at Fringe Arts with the multidisciplinary piece called “Eventide,” performed by modern circus performers and dancers through Sunday. On Saturday, teachers from the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts will be doing a free workshop to teach basic acrobatics, juggling and more.

EVENT: Celebration of Fermentation Farmer’s Market
DATE/TIME: Friday, 4 to 9 p.m.
WHERE: Cherry Street Pier, 121 N. Christopher Columbus Blvd., Old City
DETAILS: Fermented culture has been gaining popularity in recent years. Come see what local artisans are creating, including beer, bread, kimchi, kombucha and much more.

EVENT: Saturday Night Jazz: Music of B.B. King and Muddy Waters
DATE/TIME: Saturday, sessions at 5 and 7 p.m.
WHERE: Woodmere Art Museum, 9201 Germantown Ave., Chestnut Hill
DETAILS: The music of the King and Father of the Blues come together for a special night of jazz. Suona master from China, Yazhi Guo, joins vocalist Lisa Chavous and guitarist and vocalist Rich Tucker to play the music of B.B. King and Muddy Waters.

EVENT: West Park Arts Fest
DATE/TIME: Virtual programming on Friday; in-person on Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m.

DETAILS: Whether you’re joining online or in person, there are plenty of activities for the whole family at this special arts festival. Online activities include a virtual marketplace and a conversation with the author of “Red Island House,” Andrea Lee. The in-person festivities on Saturday include live music and dance performances, plus crafts for the kids.
