EVENT: Revolutionary Germantown Festival

DATE/TIME: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: Different locations in Germantown

DETAILS: Learn about the 1777 Battle of Germantown and the people who experienced it. There will be a musket-firing demonstration, tours, and plenty of opportunities to engage with different historic sites to learn about the diverse experiences of the Revolution.

EVENT: Brick Fest

DATE/TIME: Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

WHERE: Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, 100 Station Ave., Oaks

DETAILS: Brick Fest is back after an 18-month hiatus with new exhibits and an interactive stage. Feast your eyes on the more than 1 million Lego bricks used to create the lifesize Lego models, plus play some games and much more.

EVENT: Philadelphia Unnamed Film Festival

WHERE: Theatre Exile, 1340 S. 13th St., South Philadelphia

DETAILS: Check out the bizarre sci-fi and horror movies of the Philadelphia Unnamed Film Festival, which highlights independent film genres.

EVENT: Franklin Fright

DATE: Through Oct. 31

WHERE: Franklin Institute, 222 N. 20th St., Center City

DETAILS: The Franklin Institute transforms just in time for spooky season with some Halloween-inspired decor. There will be trick-or-treating every weekend through Halloween, as well as science shows with Dr. Victoria Franklinstein.

EVENT: Final Outdoor Movie Night: “Soul”

WHERE: Reading Terminal Market, 51 N. 12th St., Center City
