PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Welcome to It’s a Shore Thing, your new favorite go-to spot for all things fun at the Jersey Shore. From now until Labor Day we’ll have new things for you to check out every week. With the weather finally creeping into the 70s, what better way to celebrate Memorial Day than at the beach. Take a ride through Wildwood for its international kite festival or check out the Boardwalk Craft show. There’s plenty to do this weekend on It’s a Shore Thing.

Wildwood International Kite Festival

EVENT: Wildwood International Kite Festival

WHERE: On the beach at Rio Grande Avenue, Wildwood
DETAILS: Ready, set, fly! The 37th annual International Kite Festival is back and this upcoming weekend is packed with family-friendly activities. Days will be filled with different shows and demonstrations, candy drops, flying lessons and more! To check out the full itinerary click here.

Boardwalk Craft Show

EVENT: Boardwalk Craft Show
DATE/TIME: Saturday, May 27 to Sunday, May 28 from 9 to 5 p.m.
WHERE: Boardwalk on Rio Grande Avenue, Wildwood
DETAILS: If you’re already down in Wildwood, make sure to drop by the craft show! There’ll be different artisans, handmade craft items, boutique items, gifts and so much more. And if you can’t make it this weekend, don’t worry! There’s more dates throughout the summer, you can find them here.

Memorial Beach Challenge

EVENT: Memorial Beach Challenge
DATE/TIME: Saturday, May 27 at 7:30 a.m.
WHERE: Ocean City Music Pier, 825 Boardwalk, Ocean City
DETAILS: Who doesn’t love some friendly competition? The Memorial Beach Challenge honors veterans and active members of the military with a soft-sand adventure race and Navy-SEAL approved obstacle course. There’s two races, one for adults, and the other for children, with awards for top competitors. If you want to test your strength, registration is still open!

Memorial Day Weekend Festival

EVENT: Memorial Day Weekend Festival
DATE/TIME: Events Saturday, May 27 through Monday, May 29
WHERE: Various locations in Bradley Beach
DETAILS: Spend your Memorial Day weekend at the borough of Bradley Beach. On Saturday there will be a Memorial Day parade and a vendor exhibition, which also takes place on Sunday. There will be a Memorial Day service on Monday at Riley Park.

Business Person Plunge and Unlocking of the Ocean

EVENT: Business Person Plunge and Unlocking of the Ocean
DATE/TIME: Friday, May 26 at 12 p.m.
WHERE: Beach adjacent to the Ocean City Music Pier
DETAILS: Officials from Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, the City of Ocean City and Ocean City Beach Patrol will “unlock the beach” with a wooden key to mark the start of the beach season. Fully clothed officials will also be the first to plunge into the water.

Cape May Music Festival

EVENT: Cape May Music Festival

WHERE: Various locations in Cape May
DETAILS: Now in its 34th year, the Cape May Music Festival is back with 15 different live performances through the end of June. The festival kicks off with a performance by OkCello, who fuses traditional cello sound with looping and storytelling for a style that blends classical, jazz, EDM, reggae and funk.
