DETAILS: Dust off your running shoes and head down to Philly Runner. Trust us, it’ll be worth it! Run four miles to visit five murals, including a lap around the track at Franklin Field. The route will eventually take you back to where you started. As a treat, there’ll be an after party with food from Federal Donuts, music, giveaways, and a chance to win VIP tickets to Penn Relays.

There’ll be a wide variety of cuisines from beloved Philly food trucks to gourmet food tents and special dine-in deals at varying restaurants in the area. We Remember the Stories of Pennhurst
EVENT: We Remember the Stories of Pennhurst

WHERE: Arch Street Meeting House, 320 Arch Street, Old City
DETAILS: For 80 years, more than 10,000 people with disabilities lived at the Pennhurst State School and Hospital. Who were they, and what stories do they want to share today? Artists and archivists have worked together the past 20 months to answer these questions and tell the stories of eight individuals. The installation and community event will be both informative and interactive with videos, photos, and prompts throughout the space.

DETAILS: Spring has sprung, and what better way to celebrate than with shopping–ethically of course. Sor Ynez and Keepin’ It Small collaborated to bring together a wide variety of artists, makers and environmentally conscious businesses. P.S. There will also be brunch and drinks for those that are in the mood.

DETAILS: Don’t miss out on opening day at the rink! On Saturday, local skate troupe Great on Skates will perform at 11:30 a.m. followed by the first skate of the session starting at 12:30 p.m. The rink will be open 7 days a week, and throughout the season there’ll be different events like Rewind at the Rink, Christmas and July, Pride Skate, and so much more!

DETAILS: Andalusia Historic House is open for the season, and that means a slice of nature for the city folks. Guests can do self-guided tours to smell the crab apple trees, and see fields of daffodils, magnolias, Virginia bluebells and more! There will be six Open Saturday events throughout the season which feature special public programs like garden walks, a garden photography day, and a local river celebration.
