Christmas Village and Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market
Nothing says “holidays” like seeing two iconic holiday markets pop up at Dilworth Park and across the street at Love Park in Philadelphia. Whether you’re looking for a gift for someone special, or want to ride a ferris wheel that overlooks City Hall, there’s a little something for everyone at Christmas Village — which is open until Christmas Eve. The Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market features local designers, jewelers, crafters, and more. You’ll be able to find unique holiday gifts for everyone on your list until New Year’s Day.
Holiday Fun at Peddler’s Village
There are wintery events just about every day in December at Peddler’s Village in Bucks County. A gingerbread house competition is in full swing with more than 100 entries in different voting categories. Other activities include photos with Santa, free s’mores, live music and much more. Christmas Underwater
Through Christmas Eve, Christmas Underwater is in full effect at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey. Santa will literally be swimming with the fishes and there will be an 18-foot underwater Christmas tree. Other activities include the Snowtunda, a trivia game show and more. Brandywine Railroad
A tradition since 1972, the Brandywine Railroad showcases miniature trains running on 2,000 feet of track containing more than 1,000 pieces. Gaze upon trolleys, passenger and freight trains, and other locomotives that pass through different scenery setups, including a carnival, drive-in movie and small village. The trains will be on display from Nov. 18 to Jan. 7 at the Brandywine Museum of Art in Chadd’s Ford. Ticketing information can be found here.
Luminature
The Philadelphia Zoo will light up — quite literally — during Luminature on select dates from Nov. 17 to Jan. 6. Experience millions of twinkling lights across 16 illuminated zones for the biggest holiday show to date. Highlights include a 100-foot-long jungle tunnel adorned with lights and a new sparkling light waterfall. Luminature is $25-$28 for those over 12 years of age, $20-$23 for children 2-11, and free for children under 2.
Holiday Light Show
Catch whimsical displays of more than 3 million lights at Shady Brook Farm’s Holiday Light Show in Yardley. The best part? You can enjoy the show from your vehicle. The light show is open daily from Nov. 18 through Jan. 27. Ticket pricing depends on the day you come and the type of vehicle you are in. Pricing can be found here.
Wild Lights
Wild Lights at Elmwood Park Zoo returns for the holiday season on select days from Nov. 17 through Dec. 30 in Norristown. There will be more lights and decorations for guests to experience, as well as live entertainment. There will also be seasonal treats, photos with Santa and much more. Pricing info can be found here. The event runs on select days from 5 to 9 p.m.
A Very Retro Christmas
The theme this year at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square is “A Very Retro Christmas.” Through Jan. 7 you can walk through some very nostalgic scenes complete with childhood favorite toys, vintage decor, throwback baubles and vibrant light displays. Ticketing information can be found here.
