PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — This weekend in Philly, enjoy live music, games and food at both the Girard Ave Street Fest and the Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival. Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with live music, and food and drink specials at an all day block party in Midtown Village. And, parents and toddlers can explore the magic of the shapes around us at the Please Touch Museum.

Girard Ave Street Fest

EVENT: Girard Ave Street Fest
DATE/TIME: Saturday, May 6 from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
WHERE: West Girard between 26th and 29th streets, Brewerytown
DETAILS: Here’s to celebrating spring! The festival will feature more than 90 vendors and service-providers. There will also be kid zones with bounce houses and games, neighborhood favorite restaurants and live local music from bands like Snacktime, TEEF and Dirty Soap. And we didn’t forget about you, dog lovers. The Boozy Mutt Bar and Grill is hosting a pop-up alongside Lost Time Brewing with drinks, games and prizes. All you need to do is bring your furry friend.

Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival

EVENT: Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival
DATE/TIME: Saturday, May 6 from 12 to 5 p.m.
WHERE: Rittenhouse Row, Walnut Street between 21st and Broad, Center City
DETAILS: Two festivals are better than one, right? Rittenhouse Row is hosting their annual spring festival after 4 years! Different blocks will have different things to do from made to order churros to make and take crafts for the kids, find the full list here.

Sueño Block Party

EVENT: Sueño Block Party
DATE/TIME: Friday, May 5 from 2 to 8 p.m.
WHERE: Sueño, 114 S. 12th St., Midtown Village
DETAILS: Celebrate Cinco de Mayo, the Mexican army’s victory in the 1862 Battle of Puebla, Philly-style. Sueño is shutting down Samson St. for an all night block party with music and food specials like $7 elotes and $9 margaritas, among others. The party officially ends at 8 p.m. but then moves inside for the rest of the night.

Museum Mini’s

EVENT: Museum Mini’s
DATE/TIME: Thursday, May 4 from 10 to 11 a.m.
WHERE: Please Touch Museum, 4231 Ave. of the Republic, Centennial District
DETAILS: Every month, the Please Touch Museum holds a three-part interactive toddler program.  May’s theme is called  “Shapes Everywhere.” Parents and children ages 1.5 to 3.5 are invited to join other families to learn and remember the shapes around us. They can learn through storytelling, activities, crafts, and more.

City Hall Roller Rink

EVENT: City Hall Roller Rink
DATE/TIME: April 21 through July 18
WHERE: Dilworth Park, 1 S. 15th St., City Hall
DETAILS: The rink is open seven days a week, and throughout the season there will be different events like Rewind at the Rink, Christmas and July, Pride Skate, and so much more!
PRICE: $8 for children 10 and under, and $10 for everyone else with an additional $6 per skate rental

Andalusia Historic House, Gardens & Arboretum

EVENT: Andalusia Historic House, Gardens & Arboretum
DATE/TIME: April 1 through Nov. 3
WHERE: 1237 State Rd., Bucks County
DETAILS: Andalusia Historic House is open for the season, and that means a slice of nature for the city folks. Guests can do self-guided tours to smell the crab apple trees, and see fields of daffodils, magnolias, Virginia bluebells and more! There will be six Open Saturday events throughout the season which feature special public programs like garden walks, a garden photography day, and a local river celebration.
