PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — With Halloween over, it seems like we are now in a sprint toward the holiday season. A few fall happenings are set, like the Chrysanthemum Festival at Longwood Gardens and a fall festival at Hellerick’s Family Farm, but once we get into mid-November, Christmas activities shift into high gear. From light shows to holiday railroad displays and even a little Broadway, there’s something for everyone. Plan your month with The KYW To-Do List.

Fall Festival/Adventure Farm

Bring the whole family to Hellerick’s Family Farm for a five-acre corn maze, three slides, farm animals and more than 40 other activities for children and adults alike. The farm is open daily through Nov. 7 at 9:30 a.m. and the last admission is at 5 p.m. After Nov. 7, the farm is open on the weekends through Nov. 26. Pricing is $14.99 per person on weekdays and $18.99 per person on weekends.

Chrysanthemum Festival

Longwood Gardens is the destination to see fall’s favorite flower, the chrysanthemum. Explore 13 different classifications of the flower throughout the garden on display until Nov. 12. Longwood Gardens is open Wednesday through Monday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Timed ticket pricing is available here.

Wicked at the Academy of Music

You can defy gravity all November long with “Wicked” performances on select dates through Nov. 26 at the Academy of Music. Tickets start at $30 on select dates.

Brandywine Railroad

A tradition since 1972, the Brandywine Railroad showcases miniature trains running on 2,000 feet of track and containing more than 1,000 pieces. Gaze upon trolleys, passenger and freight trains, and other locomotives that pass through different scenery setups, including a carnival, a drive-in movie and a small village. The trains will be on display from Nov. 18 to Jan. 7 at the Brandywine Museum of Art. Ticketing information can be found here.

Luminature

The Philadelphia Zoo will light up — quite literally — during LumiNature on select dates from Nov. 17 to Jan. 6. Experience millions on twinkling lights across 16 illuminated zones for the biggest holiday show to date. Highlights include an 100-foot-long jungle tunnel adorned with lights and a new sparkling light waterfall. LumiNature is $25-$28 for those over 12, $20-$23 for children 2-11, and free for children under 2.

Holiday Light Show

Catch whimsical displays of more than 3 million lights at Shady Brook Farm’s Holiday Light Show. The best part – you can enjoy the show from your vehicle. The light show opens daily from Nov. 18 through Jan. 27. Ticket pricing depends on the day you and the type of vehicle you are in. Pricing can be found here.

Wild Lights
