PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — It’s the spookiest time of the year. This month, we’ve rounded up the scariest haunted attractions for your supernatural pleasure. From a real-life haunted textile mill to dimly lit hay rides, there’s a little something for everyone. Plan your month with The KYW To-Do List.

Halloween Nights at Eastern State Penitentiary

Halloween Nights returns to the penitentiary with three reimagined experiences and lots of screams. The festival has five different haunted houses as well as themed bars, tours, live entertainment and much more. Tickets start at $39, but pricing varies depending on which night you go. Halloween Nights ends on Nov. 11. The festival takes place at Eastern State Penitentiary located at 22nd Street and Fairmount Avenue in Philadelphia.

Lincoln Mill Haunted House

Manayunk’s Lincoln Mill opened in 1860 as a textile mill. When Hurricane Ida came through Philadelphia in 2021, the mill was flooded and a secret chamber that housed bodies was discovered — at least that’s how the story goes. Through Nov. 4, you can get a horrorifying experience of the mill featuring a bunch of different spooky special effects. Tickets start at $25 depending on the day. Lincoln Mill is located at 4100 Main St. in Manayunk.

Pennhurst Asylum

Before it became a  Halloween attraction, Pennhurst Asylum was known as Pennhurst State School and Hospital, and it was a truly dark place. Haunt-seekers have been flocking to the Chester County attraction for more than 10 years, and this year is no exception. Tickets start at $52 to check out the haunted attractions, which include the asylum, the morgue and the tunnels. Tickets are available almost every weekend through Nov. 4, located at 250 Commonwealth Drive in Spring City, Pennsylvania.

Bates Motel

There are many ways to get your fright on at the Bates Motel. The action-packed attractions are sure to scare you with their attention to detail in special effects. There’s the Haunted Hayride, a 25-minute ride through Arasapha Farm, and the Revenge of the Scarecrows Haunted Trail, a terrifying walk through a tall cornfield. Tickets start at $40 on select days. The attractions run through Oct. 31. Bates Motel is located 1835 Middletown Road, Glen Mills, Pennsylvania.

Scream Mountain at Spring Mountain

If it has scream in the name, it must be scary, right? Scream Mountain has a few different options, depending on your scare tolerance. Each weekend at 6 p.m., there will be a starter haunted hayride in the daylight — and without actors in the woods. For those who dare, the scarier hayride begins around 7 p.m. There is also a haunted ski lift and walk that gives you a look at the darkside of the mountain. Tickets are $10 for the starter hayride, $22 for the regular hayride, and $30 for the hayride and lift. Scream Mountain is open weekends through Oct. 28. It is located at 757 Spring Mount Road in Spring Mount, Pennsylvania.

Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres

Choose your own creepy adventure at Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres. Ride the Sleepy Hollow Hayride, explore the Malfate Manor, aka The House in the Hollow, or venture into the Field of Fright. The attraction is open on weekends through Oct. 29. It is $19 for individual events on select days or $38 to participate in all three. Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres is located at 881 Highland Road in Newton, Pennsylvania.
