PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — This weekend on The KYW To-Do List: Celebrate our veterans at museums across the city, run like Rocky (without the steps, fortunately), or hop on a train that takes you from New Hope to the North Pole.

EVENT: Veterans Day Weekend with the Museum

DATE: Thursday through Sunday

WHERE: Museum of the American Revolution, 101 S. Third St., Old City

DETAILS: The museum is offering free admission to those currently serving in the military, veterans, and Blue Star Families. Along with exhibits and gallery talks, there will be a special premiere of “Meet James Forten,” which explores his life as a Revolutionary War veteran, free Black Philadelphian and stalwart abolitionist.

PRICE: Free with admission

EVENT: Veterans Day at the National Constitution Center

DATE/TIME: Thursday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

WHERE: National Constitution Center, 525 Arch St., Old City

DETAILS: The center honors veterans with special programming, including writing letters to thank those who served in the country’s armed forces, a wreath-laying ceremony and a special talk with author and Vietnam veteran John Campbell.

PRICE: Free with admission

EVENT: Yokai Family Weekend

DATE/TIME: Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: Shofuso Japanese House and Garden, Lansdowne and Horticultural drives, Cathedral Park

DETAILS: In Japanese folklore, yokai are supernatural creatures that live around us. Take part in a scavenger hunt inspired by yokai or watch a kamishibai, Japan’s classic paper theater style of storytelling, with slightly spooky stories.

PRICE: Free with admission

EVENT: Rocky Run

DATE/TIME: Saturday; 5K at 7 a.m., 10M at 7:55 a.m.

WHERE: Start at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, 2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philly

DETAILS: Tickets are going fast for the Rocky Run, which is back in person and virtually. The course goes along the scenic Kelly Drive and loops back to the museum. And no, you don’t need to run up the steps when you finish.

PRICE: $60 for the 5K; $80 for the 10-mile; $140 for the 13.1-mile Italian Stallion Challenge

EVENT: Hardena Block Party

DATE/TIME: Sunday, 12 to 4:30 p.m.

WHERE: Hardena, 1754 S. Hicks St., South Philadelphia

DETAILS: Join a mural dedication right outside of Indonesian restaurant Hardena, which depicts the journey of many Indonesian immigrants who now reside in Philadelphia. Sate Kampar, Sris Company, Tabachoy and Ratchada will all be vending, and there will also be live performances.

EVENT: 10 cemeteries tour in Fishtown

DATE/TIME: Friday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

WHERE: Meet at 1410 E. Palmer St., Fishtown

DETAILS: Historian Ken Milano, who has written several books on different burial grounds in Fishtown, takes you on a two-hour walking tour of Palmer Cemetery — and nine other unmarked burial locations. Learn about some of the oldest cemeteries in Philadelphia and the histories as to why they no longer exist.

PRICE: $20 with registration

EVENT: Philly Wine Festival

DATE/TIME: Saturday, 12 to 10 p.m.

WHERE: 215 Philly, 990 Spring Garden St., Suite 103, Spring Garden

DETAILS: Calling all wine connoisseurs: Sip on wines from around the world at this tasting experience. There will also be food and live music performances throughout the day.

PRICE: Tickets start at $35 and are going fast

EVENT: North Pole Express Train

DATE: Begins Saturday and runs through the end of December

WHERE: New Hope Railroad, 32 W. Bridge St., New Hope

DETAILS: Ring in the Christmas season with a holiday-themed train ride, complete with hot chocolate and cookies, musicians, and a visit from Santa. Kids will also get a chance to drop off their letters to Santa in a special red postbox.

PRICE: Tickets start at $52 for kids and $63 for adults

EVENT: PHestivaL of Trees

DATE: Friday through Sunday

WHERE: Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, 100 Station Ave., Oaks

DETAILS: Get in the holiday spirit while getting all your shopping done at this three-day event. There will be holiday trees and gingerbread houses created by local designers, live entertainment, and Santa himself.

PRICE: $20 with registration

EVENT: Evesham Diwali Celebration

DATE/TIME: Friday, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

WHERE: The Gibson House, 535 Main St., Marlton, New Jersey

DETAILS: “Celebrate the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil” in this special Diwali event. There will be snacks, crafts and more.

PRICE: Free to attend

EVENT: Roaring ’20s Party

DATE/TIME: Friday, 6 to 9 p.m.

WHERE: Autumn Lake Winery, 870 W. Malaga Road, Monroe, New Jersey

DETAILS: Bring back the roaring ’20s and feel free to dress up as a flapper or a silent screen star at this themed party. There will be food, and your ticket includes a wine flight.

PRICE: $20 with registration
