According to data collected by Best Life, the top 10 most hated cities in America have been determined. Philadelphia comes in at a comfortable No. 7.

So, not everybody hates us. We still don't care.

At least New York City came in at No. 6.

While most cities across the United States have a hatred for another nearby town, it usually is nothing more than disliking their sports teams, or making fun of their way of life. However, some cities are disliked throughout the country for a number of reasons.

Based on their "Hate Index Score," the most hated city in the United States is Detroit. The next cities on the list were Las Vegas, Baltimore, Los Angeles and St. Louis.

Results were determined by reviewing four different surveys: “a 2009 Pew survey, a 2016 Travel and Leisure ranking of rudest cities, and two 2017 Travel and Leisure polls that measured the most underrated city and the nation’s favorite city.”

The list also included the top 10 most favorable cities. Minneapolis took the top spot. Overall most weren’t too shocked by the list, other than New York not being higher.

Ever the middle child, New Jersey skated by without a most-favored or most-hated city between the two lists.
