Doug Pederson 'looking forward to hopefully a warm welcome' in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WIP Sportsradio) — Doug Pederson is returning to Philadelphia on Sunday to face his old team, and he's looking forward to what is "hopefully a warm welcome."

“I’m really looking forward to getting back there,” Pederson said Monday afternoon while speaking to Jaguars media. “I understand that city, I understand the passion for football, but now I’m on the other side. It’s still a long way away. It’s seven days away or six days away. But we’ve got to prepare this week like we have these last couple of weeks.

"I’m looking forward to it, getting back up there. It’s been a great place. We did a lot of good things there. Looking forward to, hopefully, the welcome.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni talked about how much respect he has for Pederson on Monday's 94WIP Morning Show.

“Obviously, I have so much respect for coach Pederson,” Sirianni said. “I don’t know him well, but I know him from Frank [Reich], and Frank always spoke so highly of him as well. He did something in this city that I hope to do — he won a championship. I’ve got a lot of respect for him."

The 3-0 Eagles are 6.5 point favorites over the 2-1 Jags.
