PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Between now and Wednesday afternoon, the NFL is in “legal tampering” mode.

NFL news is ramping up in the 2021 offseason, and the first day left no shortage of Eagles-related updates.

BG extended through 2022

Assuming that Jason Peters is not wearing Eagles green in 2021, Brandon Graham will become the longest-tenured Eagle.

Graham’s contract, which was set to expire after next season, was extended through 2022.

Graham, a first-round pick in 2010, told the Eagles’ website, “At the end of the day, this is where I want to be. I love the energy and I know we’re going to get things done around here.”

Graham’s deal is significant because it reportedly frees up much-needed salary cap space this offseason.

Graham is the orchestrator of arguably the greatest defensive play in franchise history — the strip-sack of Tom Brady in Super Bowl LII.

Green Goblin heading to Foxborough

Unrestricted free agent Jalen Mills is leaving the Eagles after five seasons, mostly as a cornerback and a little bit as a safety — specifically last season.

Mills is headed to the New England Patriots on a reported four-year, $24 million deal, with $9 million guaranteed.

Minus a lengthy injury, Mills, a seventh-round pick in 2016, was a mainstay in the Eagles lineup for the past five seasons — rare for a late-round draft pick.

Mills had three interceptions in the Eagles’ 2017 Super Bowl season, including a huge play at the end of the NFL Divisional Round playoff game against the Atlanta Falcons.
