Eagles fans don’t care for Colts’ cheesy Carson Wentz joke

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Indianapolis Colts had some lighthearted fun on the Fourth of July — at the expense of Eagles fans.

The team tweeted a comic strip of Indy head coach and former Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich hosting a holiday potluck.

A cartoon Carson Wentz shows up with a cheesesteak, to which Reich said, “Looks good, Carson, but uh … we don’t eat those anymore.”

A flood of comments from Eagles fans led to this pointed reply from the Colts: “i wish all Philadelphia fans a very thanks for the engagement.”

Unless the Eagles and Colts meet in Super Bowl LVI, which is unlikely, these two teams aren’t scheduled to play each other until the 2022 season. But based on what we know of Eagles fans, those who are bothered by this joke certainly won’t forget it.
