PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is out for this week against the Panthers.
The team said the starter is suffering from a superficial blood clot in his calf.
The clot was detected by ultrasound in the run-up to the Birds’ loss to Jacksonville in London, but medical staff cleared Hurts to play.
The team decided to put Hurts on the bench for this Sunday after a follow-up ultrasound showed the small clot was moving.
