PHILADELPHIA (94WIP, KYW Newsradio) — The Philadelphia Eagles, now 8-0, are just nine wins away from becoming the fifth team in NFL history to finish the regular season undefeated.
But is it better to lose a game and get it out of the way before the playoffs?
94WIP's Angelo Cataldi asked 35-year-old All-Pro Eagles center that question on Thursday.
"I certainly hope we don't lose, coming up here," Kelce said.
"It's tough for me to say something like that. I get it. All teams want to go through adversity. Adversity has ways of shaping you. You want to be put in situations throughout the year so that come playoffs you're ready to handle those situations. Now, I don't think that needs to happen losing games or anything like that."
Kelce said that the Eagles have had several tight games which were decided in the fourth quarter, where the opponents have come back and the Eagles had to step up again on offense to win.
"I think adversity is important for any team, any person to go through. Those end up being the events that shape you and stick with you the most," he said.
The Philadelphia Eagles are 11-point favorites at home on Monday Night Football vs. the Washington Commanders this week.
