PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities have identified a body found in a Delaware state park last month as a missing South Jersey man.
Delaware State police confirmed on Friday that the decaying remains found on April 24 at Fox Point State Park belong to 27-year-old Lizandro Guizar Sartiaguin of Hammonton, New Jersey.
Investigators said Sartiaguin was reported missing after he disappeared from his home on Feb. 27. He had not been in contact with family and was without his personal belongings, according to authorities.
Various news reports said Sartiaguin worked at a blueberry farm in South Jersey, had obtained a green card, and was supporting family members in Mexico.
Police have not revealed the cause of death.
