PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Philadelphia Eagles announced a big change to its roster Monday morning.
Defensive end Ryan Kerrigan is leaving the Washington Football Team after 10 seasons, four of which were Pro Bowl years. He’s jumping over to the Eagles in a one-year contract.
Kerrigan has 13 ½ sacks and 62 total tackles in 18 career games against the Eagles as a member of the Washington Football Team.
He is Washington’s all-time sacks leader with 95 ½.
The 32-year-old veteran announced on Instagram, “I know I probably wasn’t your favorite player over the past decade, but Philadelphia Eagles fans I’m fired up to be playing for you guys now!”
It’s unknown how the Eagles will use Kerrigan going forward. But at least for the next season, it appears he’ll no longer be giving the Eagles fits.
