PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Sixers have made a pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, selecting 19-year-old VJ Edgecombe, a freshman guard out of Baylor University. He is the third overall pick in the draft.
The 6-foot-5 Edgecombe played 33 games last season, averaging 15 points, six rebounds, and three assists per game. He’s widely regarded as a high-upside player, known for his athleticism, ball handling, and standout perimeter defense.
Philadelphia adds Edgecombe to a roster already anchored by stars Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.
Elsewhere in the draft, Cooper Flagg was taken No. 1 overall by Dallas, and Rutgers standout Dylan Harper went second to San Antonio.
