PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The FCS College Football playoffs continue this weekend with second-round action and two local teams are in the mix.
Villanova went 9-2 during the regular season and won a share of the Colonial Athletic Association title.
Villanova earned a first-round bye and will host Youngstown State, who is 8-4 and coming off a first-round win over Duquesne, in round two Saturday at noon. Head coach Mark Ferrante feels this is an even matchup.
"They're really good … They remind me of us if that makes sense,” he said. “They have a good run game. We think we have a good run game — try to, you know, control the ball and get it down the field and then hit some explosive (plays) in the pass game.”

He says his team has earned its success this season.
"They've really done a great job holding each other accountable, holding themselves accountable. It's really been a player-driven team, which is always good.”
Delaware is also still alive. The Blue Hens rallied to beat Lafayette in the first round last weekend 36-34. In round two, the Blue Hens will travel to play the Montana Grizzlies on Saturday at 9 p.m.
