
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — One person is dead and another injured after a fire broke out in a West Philly rowhome Friday afternoon.
Officials responded to the 2000 block of North Ruby Street just before 3 p.m. and found the home engulfed in flames.
The fire was controlled in about 20 minutes.
According to our newsgathering partners at NBC10, a man and woman were inside the home when the fire broke out. Officials say the man died at the scene. The woman was rescued and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
A cause is not yet known. An investigation is underway.
