PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- A bus carrying an estimated 60 asylum seekers sent from the Texas border with Mexico arrived at Philadelphia's 30th Street Station on Thursday morning, city officials said.

This is the 15th such bus the Texas state government has sent to Philadelphia without warning or coordination since Nov. 16.

The migrant families and individuals arriving Thursday originated in locations including Colombia, Cuba and other Latin American countries. At least 43 of them were transported to the city’s welcoming facility on East Luzerne Street in North Philadelphia so their immediate needs could be assessed.

So far, more than 630 people have been sent to the city, many with plans to continue onward to other destinations. On Christmas Eve, about 99 asylum seekers arrived in Philadelphia by bus.
