
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police said that a teen boy has been listed in extremely critical condition after a double shooting where another teenager was also hurt.
It happened at about 5:25 p.m. near the corner of 33rd and Oxford streets by Fairmount Park in Philadelphia's Brewerytown neighborhood, according to authorities.
Police said the boy, 14, was shot in the head. He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was listed in extremely critical condition.
The other boy, 15, was shot in the right foot and also taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition, according to police.
Authorities said that no one was initially arrested, and no weapon was recovered from the scene right after the shooting.
More than 100 children have been shot in Philadelphia so far this year.
Two 23-year-old men were also shot Monday afternoon just before 4 p.m. near 9th and Somerset streets in North Philadelphia, police said.
Both men were listed in stable condition after being taken to the hospital.
