PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two men are dead, and two others are injured in a quadruple shooting in the city's Nicetown neighborhood Saturday night. Two of those wounded are a mother and her daughter.
It happened just before 8:30 p.m. on the 1900 block of West Hunting Park Avenue, near Pike Street.
Police said officers responded to reports of a shooting involving a 7-year-old. When they arrived, they found two men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
A 26-year-old man was found unresponsive on the street and was taken by police to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A 29-year-old man was found on a nearby porch and taken to the same hospital, where, a few hours later, he died.
A 26-year-old woman and her 7-year-old daughter were taken to area hospitals. The woman, who is the child’s mother, was shot in the arm and is in stable condition. Her daughter sustained a graze wound to the head and is also in stable condition.
Police said the girl is also the daughter of one of the men who was killed.
No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
