PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two Delaware County men are charged with murder, accused of killing a 71-year-old Chester man during a home invasion last week.
On Friday, March 29, around 9 p.m. police responded to a well-being check on the 300 block of Rose Street and found Robert Wright on the floor of his apartment.
The criminal complaint says an initial autopsy found Wright had been stabbed about 28 times.
A few hours after discovering his body, a license plate reader found Wright’s missing car on West 9th Street.
Police say 29-year-old Ramadon Sudan of Brookhaven was driving the car, and when police confronted him, he defecated in his pants. The criminal complaint says Sudan had eight vials suspected to contain crack cocaine and a cell phone.
A search of that cell phone showed a text conversation with 27-year-old Damon Jones from Madison Street in Chester from Thursday, the night before the body was found.
The complaint says both Sudan and Jones admitted to the home invasion and stabbing the 71-year-old. Sudan says he took the car key during the robbery.
The two are charged with murder, robbery, and related offenses.
