2 girls struck while riding electric scooter in Delaware County

Officials say they have serious, life-threatening injuries

DELAWARE COUNTY, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Two girls are fighting for their lives after they were struck while riding an electric scooter in Aston Township Saturday.

Police say they were hit by a vehicle just after 2:15 p.m. at Lehr Boulevard and Concord Road.

First responders rushed the juveniles to the hospital in critical condition. Officials say both girls have serious, life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the driver who hit them stayed at the scene and is fully cooperating. No citations or criminal charges have been filed.

Police have not released any details of the crash itself, nor have they shared the identities of anyone involved. An investigation is underway.
