PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two more children have been shot in Philadelphia Friday night with one placed in critical condition, according to Philadelphia police.
Authorities said the double shooting happened at about 7:45 p.m. Friday night near the corner of Knorr Street and Algon Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia.
Police said a 14-year-old boy was shot in the abdomen, right arm and right hand. He was taken to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
A 13-year-old boy was also shot in the elbow, according to authorities. He was taken by Jeanes Hospital and listed in stable condition, but was to be transfered to St. Christopher Hospital.
According to police, no one was initially arrested, and no weapon was recovered.
More than 125 children have been shot in Philadelphia in 2021.
