PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two children are hospitalized after a pit bull attacked them in Kensington on Thursday.
Around 6 p.m., a 3-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl were playing outside their house on Water Street near East Westmoreland.
Police said the dog ran out of a house across the street and bit the boy in the arm and leg, and the girl in the face. According to our newsgathering partners at NBC10, the kids are in stable condition.
“The mother of these two children was sitting on the porch, watching her children play, and saw both of her children get bit by this dog,” said Chief Inspector Scott Small.
The pitbull ran back inside the house.
It's now being kept in a crate while Animal Control investigates.
