PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Three people were injured in separate West Philadelphia shootings about a mile apart.

The first shooting happened just after 11:40 p.m. Saturday near 52nd and Stiles streets.

A man, who was taken to the hospital by a medic, told police he was at a bar in that area when a disturbance broke out among patrons. The man said he left the bar and was walking near Stiles and Wilton streets when an unknown man produced a gun and shot at him. He was hit once in the left calf and is in stable condition.

Police said the suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded puffer jacket before he fled on Stiles toward 53rd Street.

The second shooting happened early Sunday around 4:41 a.m.

When officers got to a house, which authorities said was acting as a speakeasy on 58th Street, just off Arch Street, they found a man and woman inside, both shot.

The man was shot once in the back, and the woman sustained several gunshot wounds to her stomach. Both were rushed to the hospital and remain in critical condition. They have not been identified.

Police have no suspects at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
