NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — Two children were killed in a boat crash Sunday night at the Jersey Shore.
New Jersey State Police said a 9-year-old girl and 7-year-old boy were killed when a boat they were riding on crashed. Police said it struck a channel marker in the Intracoastal Waterway in Berkeley Township around 9 p.m.
Both children were ejected from the boat. The children were pulled from the water by the boat operators, Stephen and Laurie Schneider, and later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police said the crash is under investigation.
