2 teens shot, 1 in critical condition after being shot 6 times

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police said a 15-year-old teen has been placed in critical condition after being shot six times, one of two teens shot during an incident in North Philadelphia.

The double shooting happened just after 7 p.m. Monday night near the corner of North 11th Street and West Lehigh Avenue.

Police said the teen in critical condition was shot four times in the head and twice in his right leg. Authorities took him to Temple Hospital.

Another 15-year-old was shot in the left side of his rear end during the incident. He was taken to Temple Hospital as well, and was placed in stable condition.

There was no initial word on any arrests, or whether any weapons were recovered from the scene.
