PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police say that two women have been shot and killed Thursday night inside what they call an apparent speakeasy.
The double homicide happened at about 7:45 p.m. Thursday near the corner of 19th Street and Ridge Avenue near Girard College in North Philadelphia.
Police said one of the victims was 41 years old. They did not initially know the age of the second victim.
Both women were pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators did not initially know who the shooter was, nor did they recover a weapon.
