
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The School District of Philadelphia announced it will reopen 22 more school buildings for its youngest students on Monday, April 5.
The hybrid model — combining in-person and remote learning — applies to pre-K through second-grade students whose families chose hybrid learning last fall.
In a statement, Superintendent William Hite said the teachers union finished its review and approved those school buildings to reopen. The union requested additional time to review Gilbert Spruance School.
Teachers and staff at the 22 schools will return to the buildings on Wednesday, March 24.
The 22 schools include:

• Mastery Charter School at Wister (pre-K only)

• Laura H. Carnell School
• Austin Meehan School

• Martha Washington Academics Plus School
