3 teens shot in Northwest Philly; 1 critical

Police say all three were taken to the hospital and are "being held as prisoners"

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Three teenagers were shot in Northwest Philadelphia Saturday.

Police responded to the 900 block of East Upsal Street just after 5 p.m. and found a 15-year-old shot in the chest, a 16-year-old with a graze wound to the face, and a 14-year-old who had been shot in the leg.

Officials say all three were taken to the hospital under police custody and are “being held as prisoners.”

The 15-year-old is in critical condition. The 16- and 14-year-olds are expected to be OK.
