PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The FBI is investigating a recent string of robberies at 7-Eleven stores in the Philadelphia area over the last two weeks. And two new robberies overnight, which police and the FBI are now looking at, too, could be connected.

The stores that were hit are on Ridge Avenue close to Walnut Lane in Roxborough and on Fayette Street in Conshohocken. The circumstances in both are similar to the five robberies from July 22 to July 30 that the FBI says are connected.

In most of the incidents, one of the robbers is on lookout duty while the other two armed men threaten the store employee and demand money, authorities said. In some cases the robbers went behind the counter and attacked the worker.

The three men, captured on surveillance cameras, have masks, sunglasses and gloves on when they rob the store of cash and other items between midnight and 2 a.m.
