PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — An 8-year-old was shot in the leg in Northeast Philadelphia Monday.
Police say it happened shortly before 1 p.m. along the 1800 block of Gillingham Steet near Mulberry Street in the East Frankford section of the city.
Police say the child was taken to a hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition.
What led to the shooting is not yet known but a weapon has been recovered. No arrests have been made.
