PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police have arrested one of the suspects wanted in the shooting death of an innocent 20-year-old woman last month in West Philadelphia.
Zaire Manning was wanted for the murder of 20-year-old Imani Ringgold. She was killed at 59th and Market streets on April 7 as she walked back from getting lunch around the corner from her work.
Investigators believe 21-year-old Manning and another suspect, 26-year-old Mustafa King, were targeting a group at that corner when they shot Ringgold and two others, who survived. Police believe Ringgold was mistaken for a member of that group.
Officials said they “developed information” that Manning was hiding out in a Morton apartment, along Greene Street, and arrested him without any issue on Tuesday.
King is still on the run. The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to his capture.
There’s also a $20,000 reward from the Philadelphia Police Department for King and the additional suspects they believe were involved; they have not been identified.
