PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities say eight people have been shot in Philadelphia Thursday evening.
Police say a shooting in the Frankford section of the city around 8 p.m. left seven people injured. One of them was a 29-year-old man who was shot in the head and later pronounced dead.
Six other victims remain hospitalized.
In a separate shooting in Hunting Park near North Philadelphia, a 56-year-old man was shot more than 15 times. He was pronounced dead at Einstein Hospital.
There is no word on any arrests in either shooting at this time.
