PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man is fighting for his life after a hit-and-run dirt bike rider allegedly targeted him.

Bensalem Police say just before 8 p.m. Saturday, on the 1600 block of Neshaminy Valley Drive, someone riding an illegal dirt bike hit a 64-year-old pedestrian, knocking him to the ground.

Then, according to police, before the man would regain his feet, the dirt bike rider doubled back and hit him a second time.

Police say the victim is suffering from substantial and possibly life-threatening injuries to his extremities and his internal organs.

Officials say they hope the public can help identify the dirt bike rider believed to be involved. They say the rider was a man wearing a white helmet and a camouflage shirt and pants. He was on a green-and-white dirt bike.

They say there was a second biker who was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, and who was riding a red dirt bike.

Law enforcement officials are asking anyone with information about the identity of the rider or the location of the vehicle to contact Bensalem Police or submit an anonymous tip at 215-633-3719.
