Police investigate fatal North Philadelphia hit-and-run, Parkway crash that critically injured motorcycle rider

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run in North Philadelphia. Officials tell NBC10 a man walking along Broad Street at Erie Avenue was struck around 1:30 a.m. by a 2006-2010 Chrysler 300 that fled the scene.

Police have not made an arrest yet. They are looking for the suspect and the vehicle, which they believe will have damage to the front bumper from the crash.

In Center City, a man was critically injured after he struck a car along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway while riding a dirt bike. Officials say it happened around 3 a.m. Sunday near 17th Street.

The driver of the car stayed on the scene, while the man on the motorcycle was taken to the hospital.

Both incidents remain under active investigation.
