PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The body of a young man who was swept away by a wave while boogie boarding in Ocean City, New Jersey, last month has been found, police said on Tuesday.

Authorities said the 20-year-old’s body was discovered floating near 72nd Street in Sea Isla City on June 19, and he was positively identified as the person who vanished on May 18.

On May 18, the Coast Guard pulled a swimmer out of rough water. That swimmer told them he saw the boogie boarder lose his footing and fall in, but never saw him resurface.

The young man’s name was not publicly released; his family has requested privacy.

He was only identified as an Exton, Pennsylvania, man who attended Hofstra University.
