
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A boy who climbed onto the monorail tracks at Hersheypark on Saturday evening was safely rescued and reunited with his family, officials said.
The child was reported missing from his mother shortly after 5 p.m., according to Hersheypark. He had slipped behind chains and made his way onto the elevated tracks, high above the park.
Witnesses said people below shouted directions, guiding the boy to walk across the track to a nearby roof, where an adult was waiting to help him down. He was unharmed in the incident.
Park officials said the boy was quickly reunited with his family once he was safe.
