Pennsylvania State Police took Brian Carey, 41, into custody on Wednesday night, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office. He was arrested in Trumbauersville Borough on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Carey was arraigned and is being held on bail at Bucks County Correctional Facility.
The investigation into the death of Carey's stepfather remains active and ongoing.

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Bristol Township Police are searching for a person of interest in the killing of his stepfather.
Police were called to a home near the corner of Winder Drive and Spruce Street at about 7:15 p.m. Tuesday night, when they found a 78-year-old man dead.
Authorities identified the victim's stepson, Brian Carey, 41, as a person of interest.
They say he is driving the victim's vehicle, a silver 2006 Chevy Tralblazer with Pennsylvania plate GNJ-5128. An example of the vehicle is pictured below.
