PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A woman wanted on nearly 150 animal cruelty charges in Bucks County has been extradited from Belize, where authorities said she fled earlier this year.

Abigail O’Keeffe was charged in January and fled the country shortly thereafter, officials said. She was arrested in Belize in April for possession of a firearm, and after her criminal case in Belize was settled, she was turned over to U.S. marshals.

She is now back in the U.S. to face those animal cruelty charges.

O’Keeffe is accused of keeping nearly 130 animals in filthy conditions at a Wrightstown farm. Officials said many of them ate poor and minimal diets and did not receive any veterinary care. The Bucks County SPCA described it as the largest case of farm animal cruelty in county history.

O’Keeffe had posted on social media over the summer that she had moved to Belize to start a new farm.
