PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Phillies might not have won the World Series, but it might be said that singer Calum Scott did.

Scott, of course, is the voice behind the Phils' playoffs anthem, “Dancing On My Own” — his pared-down cover of Swedish singer-songwriter Robyn’s 2010 dance hit.

According to music service Spotify, Scott's music has been streamed more than 1 billion times this year, by more than 99 million listeners. Those numbers are nearly double from last year.

The singer attributed the bump, in part, to the Phillies and their fans, who he thanked publicly on Twitter on Thursday.

“Dancing …” took on new life when Kyle Schwarber and Garrett Stubbs started playing it in the Phils' locker room during their Cinderella postseason run. And fans started sharing it on social media, while the team played it after big clinching wins.
