South Jersey’s Clementon Park and Splash World to close again, go up for sale

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Five years after it was resurrected, a South Jersey amusement park is closing and going up for sale once again.

IB Parks and Entertainment said it made the decision to close Clementon Park and Splash World in Camden County.

In a Facebook post, park officials said, “It has been a privilege to care for a place that has meant so much to generations of families. We are hopeful that we will find a buyer who shares our love for Clementon Park and will carry its history and legacy forward.”

IB Parks and Entertainment purchased and reopened the amusement park in 2021, after it had been shut down for about two years. The park first opened in 1907.

There are no details available about the planned sale. Park officials said information will be shared as it becomes available.
