PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A construction worker is in critical condition after a hit-and-run in Southwest Philadelphia early Thursday morning.
Police said a 24-year-old construction worker was placing traffic cones down in the bike lane around 7 a.m. along the 5800 block of Lindbergh Boulevard when a car veered into the lane to go around stopped traffic and struck the worker.
The driver kept going, and the worker was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Authorities describe the striking vehicle as a light-colored Nissan sedan, possibly silver or white.
