PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Construction workers discovered a woman’s body Saturday while clearing out rubble from a Southwest Philly house fire that happened earlier this week.
Police say the fire broke out Thursday on Este Avenue near 77th Street. At the time of the fire, there was no indication that anyone from the house was missing, but around 11 a.m. Saturday, a woman's body was found inside the demolished building.
As of now, her cause of death is unknown. Police have ruled it a “suspicious death.”
