PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A repeat sex offender is behind bars on charges he sexually abused a teenaged girl while he was out on bail.

Bail was set at $10 million for 32-year-old Craig Coleman, who was arrested this week and charged with sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl he contacted online — while he was awaiting sentencing on a previous sex charge.

Coleman was convicted in 2017 for manufacturing child sexual abuse material and sexual assault.

Then, in 2023, the state attorney general charged him with possessing child sex abuse material. He pleaded guilty to those charges this past January and was out on bail awaiting sentencing.

In February, according to Attorney General Dave Sunday, Coleman contacted the latest victim online and repeatedly sexually abused her, recording some of the encounters. He then allegedly tried to keep her from cooperating with police.

Coleman also faces charges including human trafficking, corruption of minors and witness intimidation.
