PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A contractor appointed by the court to evict a Philadelphia woman shot her in the leg, according to police.
The incident unfolded shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday in a house in Port Richmond, located on the 2200 block of East Auburn Street.
The 33-year-old woman was struck in the right leg and taken to a hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.
Police took the contractor into custody and recovered a firearm from the scene.
Further details have not yet been released.
Back in March, a privately employed landlord-tenant officer in Philadelphia shot a woman in the head while serving an eviction notice.
