PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — In New Jersey, problems remained on the eastbound Atlantic City Expressway on Monday morning following a crash at the Egg Harbor Toll Plaza in Hamilton Township that killed three people and sent a fourth to the hospital.

Around 9 p.m. Sunday, officials say, a Honda crashed into the toll plaza and became fully engulfed in flames. The driver, 31-year-old Reachthon Khiev of Manchester, New Hampshire, and two passengers, 27-year-old Reachsieh Khiev, also of Manchester, and 14-year-old Keotepie Khiev of Atlantic City, died in the crash.

A third passenger, a 12-year-old girl from Atlantic City, was taken to a nearby hospital, as was an attendant working at the toll plaza, both of whom sustained moderate injuries in the crash. Both are expected to recover physically.

The eastbound lanes of the expressway were closed for about seven hours, and traffic was detoured around the scene. The cause of the crash remains undetermined as the investigation continues.
